  A while ago I got a ticket from one of Kennesaw’s finest. I had two little boys in my car, my son and his friend. I was in the wrong, but the ticketing officer was instantly rude and abusive. The fine was almost $500. I felt like I was being treated unfairly so I called Attorney Mike Terrell. He accompanied me to Kennesaw Court, rejected their offer to decrease my fine by 50 bucks, and a few weeks later accompanied me to Cobb County Court. There Mike got my fine reduced to $120 with no points on my license. Which I thought was a fair deal for all concerned. In the ensuing days I was proudly telling this story to a friend of mine, who happens to be a policeman. His reply, “Your lawyer didn’t do you any favors.” Hmm? Recently my wife got a ticket, also from the fine men in Kennesaw. As funds were very tight we tried to decide what she should do. I remembered my cop friend saying our lawyer “didn’t do us any favors,” so I suggested my wife go it alone, refuse the counter offer, and tell them you want to take it to Cobb County. I told her if she simply did what Mike did for me she would be out of there in two shakes of a lamb’s tail. My wife went to court at 1:30 and did not return home until after 8:00. And the first thing out of her mouth when she got out of the car was, “Mike Terrell did you a GREEEAAAT favor!” Without a lawyer she was unable to negotiate the system and was rather chewed up by it. Had to pay the full fine anyway and lost an entire afternoon and evening in the bowels of Kennesaw City Hall. I highly recommend Mike Terrell, especially if you misstep in the fair city of Kennesaw.
